Jamie Brannock, originally a Colorado girl, resides in Cambridge, NY with her husband Seth and toddler Oshyn. Jamie, a new addition to the ACTT Naturally family spends most mornings at Long Shadows Farm working alongside Valerie Buck assisting with the daily care and training of the thoroughbreds. This has been a dream come true for Jamie as she has always had a deep love and special connection with horses since she was a child. Further deepening her dedication to ACTT Naturally, Jamie is now chairing the planning of many events and fundraisers.
“Learning and practicing the gentle natural horsemanship techniques has been a blessing. Working with these horses is truly life changing. I am inspired to be of service and offer any knowledge or skills that I have, in hopes to help ACTT Naturally reach out to help as many people as possible.”
Jamie has always been a hard worker. Throughout the years she maintained a evening and weekend career in the hospitality industry. Her days were spent working health food stores and organic juice bars, purely for the knowledge she gained, and utter enjoyment of being submerged in the “health food culture”. Through the years Jamie has pursued a vast knowledge of holistic and organic living. Throughout Jamie’s process she has practiced and studied in various modalities of health, healing, and well being.
Through her yoga practice she discovered a new understanding of the mind body connection, as well as how our daily choices both physically and energetically affect the well being of our health. Several years later she became a certified yoga instructor and began teaching classes of her own. Yoga became a spiritual journey for Jamie inspiring her to seek out and study with various spiritual teachers, ranging from meditation practice, psychic development apprenticeship, and reiki training.
Recently Jamie and her husband, then expecting their first child took a good look at their surroundings. Leaving a suburbia lifestyle behind they embarked on a new adventure. Now pregnant, Jamie was more mindful than ever about the food she ate and the products she purchased for their home. This organically just blossomed into the nature based sustainable lifestyle they currently practice. Growing and raising most of their own food with their little one, who is learning to dig in the dirt and gather fresh eggs, alongside mom and dad.
Jamie believes that this natural lifestyle and all that it has to teach and offer is so important for the future of our health and well being, and that of our children.
