Beginning with a volunteer orientation day on April 20th, ACTT Naturally will have a packed schedule this Fall of programs for Veterans, Teens, and First Responders. All programs will be conducted at Long Shadows Charitable Foundation Farm in Cambridge, NY. ACTT Naturally’s Hearts in Harmony equine assisted learning programs are designed specifically with the off-track thoroughbred as a participant. Thoroughbred horses are very sensitive by nature and are amazing at connecting with the feelings and emotions of their human partners.
Hearts in Harmony through ACTT Naturally is an equine facilitated program for veterans, women, families of veterans and first responders. The programs offer experiential time, hands-on, with the horses conducting exercises that work to build trust, compassion, empathy and mutual respect.
These tools help reduce anxiety and increase confidence.
“Our Thoroughbred horses have been trained to do the work in our programs, however, each individual connection changes as the energy and relationship are unique to every encounter,” stated founder Valerie Buck. “The programs are safe and uncomplicated. The OTTB’s enjoy the work, and along with the participants gain a renewed sense of well-being. This program puts everyone in the Winner’s Circle.”
The schedule which will go through October 2019, will be updated weekly at ACTT Naturally’s website. All inquiries should go to Valerie at email@example.com. 570-578-6377
