Harlem Rocker-ADOPTED!

Harlem Rocker had an impressive racing career, winning multiple graded stakes races and earning nearly $600,000. After his racing career ended he stood one season as a stallion at McMahon thoroughbreds in Saratoga Springs, New York. Developing a neurological disorder, he was then pension from stud and retired to Adena Springs farm in Paris Kentucky. He was living a good life there, however he was still a stallion, and spent his days either in his stall or in his paddock alone. When hearing of his whereabouts, Actt Naturally‘s founder, and Harlem Rocker’s exercise rider when he was at the track, wrote to his owners Frank and Frida Stronach, sharing her love for him when they spent their days together at Todd Pletcher's barn. Valerie informed the Stronach’s of ACTT Naturally and made a bold request, asking if he could come and live with the herd.

After he was gelded at Adena Springs, Valerie traveled to Kentucky along with her dogs to pick him up and bring him home.

Harlem Rocker settled into herd life well, and is enjoying his role in our programs and camps.
