After being purchased at the Keeneland Select sale, Three Lions aka "Budder" was a disappointment at the racetrack. The life of a racehorse was not what he saw for his future, and behavioral issues kept him from competing at the level that was expected of him. ACTT Naturally's founder, Valerie Buck was his exercise rider during his time at the track, and saw potential in him beyond racing, and offered his owners a place for him when he was done racing. When his owners called Valerie, she quickly said yes, and Budder was sent to her in Saratoga. Valerie and Budder have studied Natural Horsemanship, attending courses and clinics in Florida, Colorado, and New York. Budder loves his participation in ACTT Naturally's Hearts in Harmony and Teen Leadership programs as well as showing off his talents at our fundraising events.
